Troll With the Flow When the water has a chop, trolling with the waves imparts that necessary slight slack in the line. Also, keep a close eye on your inside planer board as you make a turn; it will give you that small amount of slack that allows for more solid strikes—and more walleyes in the boat.

Why Fish With Chief's Charters
We are a fulltime, seven day a week Lake Erie fishing charter service for walleye, steelhead and perch. We fish for walleye and steelhead on Lake Erie's western basin and perch on the central basin.
We offer the safest charter fishing service on Lake Erie. Captain Rick is a licensed Ohio guide and a Coast Guard operator of uninspected vessels on the Great Lakes and inland waters. In 2002, Captain Rick received a license upgrade to Master of Inspected Vessels.
Before retiring in 2003, Captain Rick served for over 26 years as a patrolman, detective, SWAT member, juvenile officer, lieutenant, captain, and chief (for 11 years) on the Cuyahoga Heights Police Department.
